Yesterday, we went on another user testing in order to check if while we present the passengers a kind caption, it will encourage them to be kind to the bus driver, in return.
Unfortunately, the laser printer didn't work so we had to do another user testing with hand-writing caption, without the technological part.
We wrote new captions we wanted to check, this time all of them included the name of the driver: "Moshe". We believe writing the name of the driver makes the passengers feel closer to him, and makes the interaction more intimate.
These are the captions we have checked:
This time, the user testing was very exciting! We did the test for more than 2 hours, on different lines with different drivers. People reacted to all of the 3 captions we checked, and there was one caption that was a little bit more successful: "יום טוב ממשה הנהג".
We think the best way to show you how well it worked, is with the videos including the reactions of the passengers. Sometimes, the passengers just smiled or looked at the driver and sometimes the reaction was even more amazing- they blessed the driver and it made the driver to be very excited. The majority of them (we met like 5 drivers) were very pessimistic about the success of our test. They were surprised to see how well it worked, and they were very interested about our project.
We even took the phone number of one of them, in order to cooperate with him for the next tests. He was very nice and was enthusiastic about the way the passengers reacted to him, through the captions that encouraged politeness and kindness.

In the video below you can see (through the mirror) the smile on the driver's face after a passenger blessed him. He was very happy :)

That's for now. We were very happy to see that people are more kind to the driver thanks to our captions. It made both the passengers and the driver happy!
